Pakistani masses many choices to travel within Pakistan. If you are new and thinking what are your traveling options specially to travel to far lunged areas in the north of Pakistan then read on and make the right choice.
1. Traveling alone:
Some people like to travel alone. May be it is their personality type, that they are introvert, that they like to travel alone. Traveling alone sounds difficult especially someone who is just starting into this addictive hobby but once you used to it then I believe this is the best way to travel. When you travel alone then you don’t get the company of friends but you get to know the local people and their culture better. This is because the locals are the only ones with whom you have to interact. When you are surrounded by friends while traveling then you mostly joke and laugh with your friends.
While this is the best option for someone who is more interested in interactive with locals but it is also the most tough one because you have to manage everything yourself.
2. Traveling with close friends
This is another option available to travelers. Some friends always travel together but only the lucky ones. If you are new into traveling and looking for your close friends to join you on your trips then I advise you not to do that. This is because close friends will most of the time ruin your plans and that too on the last minutes.
The advantage of traveling with close friends is that you get follow your own plan. But this advantage holds true as long as the group size is small like 4-5 persons. When the group size is bigger than 5 then problems start in the middle of the plan.
3. Traveling with commercial groups
Thanks to the Facebook which has exploded tourism industry in Pakistan exponentially. This is the best approach to get into the traveling world. All you have to do is to pay the trip fee to a tourism company, pack your stuff and enjoy the show. You don’t have to do anything because you pay for food, transport etc and tourism company manages all that for you.
This is a good option if you think that your friends will ditch you at the last minute and you cannot travel alone for any reason. But this doesn’t give you the freedom of exploration as you have follow the plan given by the tourism company.
In my view the best option is traveling alone as you there is nobody to ruin your plans and you decide what you have to explore. My 2nd choice would be to travel with a commercial tourism company rather than relying on unreliable friends.
But if you have got the one of a kind friends then you don’t have to listen to me. 🙂
